GOOD Morning America host George Stephanopoulos' wife, Ali Wentworth, has let off steam at a New York City gala.
The couple and their family have been going through a "tough time."

On Wednesday Ali, 58, attended a New York City gala.
The City Meals event is a power lunch that has philanthropic New Yorkers come together at the Plaza.
The foundation raises money to deliver meals to older New Yorkers in need.
Ali posed in a photo with friends as she wore all-black clothing.

They sat at a table at The Plaza and smiled for the picture.
She re-shared the snap to her Instagram Story.
It didn't appear that George, 62, attended the event with her, as he was not in any photos.

On Tuesday night, Ali attended another gala - the Child Mind Institute Child Advocacy Award Dinner.

Ali was tagged in a photo at the dinner, wearing a long-sleeve, knit black dress.
She stood next to Dr. Harold Koplewicz, who was a speaker at the event.
"A huge thanks to everyone who was part of the Child Mind Institute Child Advocacy Award Dinner on Tuesday night!" he captioned the post.
"It was wonderful to gather with over 900 supporters to honor Child Advocacy Award recipient Andy Saperstein, Co-President and Head of Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley, and to celebrate the Child Mind Institute’s commitment to improving mental health for kids and families everywhere."
Dr. Harold went on to say that Ali was the host of the event.
He called her "wonderful" and thanked her for hosting.
PAINFUL TIME
Ali and George are now empty nesters.
They dropped their youngest daughter, Harper, off at college earlier this year.
Ali shared a photo of her and George walking away from Harper to go home and leave her at school.
"We dropped our baby off at college. Everyone is saying 'she’s ready to launch!'" she captioned her post.

"But… I don’t think I’m ready! I don’t want to stop making pasta with vodka sauce, picking up wet towels, cuddling up to her familiar scent."
"As Joni Mitchell once wrote- 'the bed’s too big, the frying pan too wide.' I know our daughter will thrive. But man, it’s brutal on the parents. If you feel inclined- please send me baked goods. I’ll be under my covers," Ali said in the post.
